Missions

May 17, 2016

Dear LMCA Parents and Students:

With the school year coming to a close and summer vacation about to begin, we wanted to give everyone an early idea of what the mission trips will look like next year! Starting this year, we will be giving out the trip options for high school and middle school in May. This will allow each family a little more time to pray about the trips over the summer and use that time, if needed, to raise money and make the best selection for each student. The trip choices and trip descriptions are online. The LMCA website address is: http://www.lmca.org/student-life-plus/missionforms.cfm

The Mission Trip Description sheet will explain the activities for each trip. The Trip Choice Sheet will allow you to pick your top three choices. We will try to get every student their first choice, but due to the limited number of spots available on each trip, this may not be possible. Students who turn in their Trip Choice Sheets with the required deposit by the deadline will be given their chosen trip based on grade level seniority.

Trip Choice Sheets must be returned to the Finance Office (with your deposit) no later than September 2. If your Trip Choice Sheet is turned in after the deadline, we will date it, and you will be given your choice of the options available. If your student already has money in their individual mission account that covers the cost of the deposit or entire mission trip, only the Trip Choice Sheet needs to be turned in. Please confirm the amount with the Finance Office.

If you should have any questions please do not hesitate to contact Brian Lennon, Missions Pastor, at blennon@lmca.org or Todd Wellman, Missions Director, at twellman@lmca.org.

Thank you,

Todd Wellman, Missions Director

LMCA believes the good news of God's love is not meant to be kept to ourselves.  It's something we want to share with those around us,  starting with our next-door neighbors and extending throughout the world.

Want to get involved in sharing the love of Jesus wih others?  You can participate locally in practical ways like raking lawns, bagging groceries, and washing cars.  Or you can give prayer or financial support to a local or international missionary.  There are also opportunitiies to go on short-term mission trips overseas to demonstrate God's love to those in desperate situations.

What are you going to choose?
