Summer Reading

Required Summer Reading Assignments for 1st – 6th Grade

At LMCA, it is our hope that reading is a daily part of your child’s summer. Our summer reading program was created to help facilitate that hope and maintain the current level of skills that your child has worked to achieve during the school year.

We ask that you enthusiastically support this program by encouraging your child to read as many books as possible this summer! As an LMCA incentive, popsicle vouchers will be awarded for each book read. A maximum of eight (8) vouchers can be earned. Students may redeem one popsicle voucher each day.

We recommend students entering third through sixth grade to select books from the following lists:

Third Grade Book List

Fourth Grade Book List

Fifth Grade Book List

Sixth Grade Book List

First and Second Graders

Please use the provided summer reading record to track your student’s progress.
