Parent Teacher Fellowship (PTF)
Lake Mead Christian Academy desires for active participation from each and every family enrolled. LMCA requires all families to become members of the LMCA Parent Teacher Fellowship as a condition of enrollment for their children into LMCA. LMCA’s Parent Teacher Fellowship has been established to encourage parental involvement in the school – through building relationships, as well as promoting volunteerism and financial support. The mission of the PTF is to be a service organization for LMCA and its families. Its aim is to foster fellowship and support that will bring the home and school closer together. The desire of the PTF is to aid families in their understanding of Christian education and encourage them to become more loyal and committed to the school. Every family applying for admission to Lake Mead Christian Academy is required to read and sign the “PTF Membership Agreement” below.
There are three (3) basic requirements for membership:
- Parents are expected to attend the three PTF Meetings each year.
- Parents are expected to participate in ProVision
- Parents are expected to complete a PTF Volunteer Sign-Up sheet at the start of each year and serve a minimum of 10 hours per semester.
Your participation in the PTF program at LMCA is so important that a lack of participation could result in loss of the opportunity for your family’s continued enrollment at Lake Mead Christian Academy.
- Parents of enrolled children are members of the LMCA Parent Teacher Fellowship and as a benefit of belonging to this organization we are able to send our child(ren) to LMCA .
- PTF membership is dissolved when the family no longer has child(ren) enrolled at LMCA .
- LMCA desires the active participation of every family enrolled and therefore has requirements for membership.
There are many ways to be involved and to build a sense of community. Contact your child’s teacher.
There are monthly Saturday workdays in which every family is requires to serve a minimum of one workday.
Parent Teacher Conferences
These are scheduled during the year as needed (see Calendar):
1. To promote spiritual, academic, and social maturity of students through sharing of insights and ideas.
2. To encourage freedom in communication between home and school.
3. To consider short-range and life goals for the student.
