3 to Thrive

Home…School…Church…. a threefold cord is not quickly broken.

Ecclesiastes 4:12b

Building close relationships with each family is a challenge. Yet unified and harmonious relationships are the backbone of the partnership that is vital to each child’s overall development. While our society stresses ‘quality time’ we cannot ignore the impact of ‘quantity time’. Consider that LMCA will have your full time student iur presence and care for a minimum of 1200 hours this school year. Time at home with the family is the only place a larger portion of your child’s life might be spent.

The independence that develops throughout the teen years usually manifests itself in less parental involvement during junior and senior high. Self-sufficiency is desirable but parents need to stay more informed and involved at this time than ever. Establishing good communication with every family is our goal. Therefore, parents are required to attend divisional seminars specifically focused on working together during the each stage of their student’s lives.

New Parents and those with students entering the next stage of educating (1st, 6th, 9th grades)  – The seminar consists of three topic-specific sessions and a question and answer forum during the three hour seminar. We strongly encourage all the adults active in the student’s life—moms, dads, step-moms, step-dads, and grandparents—to attend.

Enrolled families will be required to attend grade appropriate Three-to-Thrive seminars.
