STUDENT DRESS and GROOMING
The dress code is designed to
promote modesty and
appropriateness at school and
school events. If standards are
not honored, parents are asked
to solve the problem. It is the
parent’s responsibility to see
that this code is followed both
in spirit and intent. Our
primary goal for adopting
uniform dress standards is to
improve the appearance of our
students and our campus and to
focus on Christian education.
General Guidelines
· All
clothing will represent Christ
in a manner that glorifies Him.
· Students
must dress in an attractive
conservative manner which
demonstrates that attending
school and school functions are
important. All clothing should
be modest, clean, neat, pressed,
and well-fitting (not overly
loose, tight, sloppy or torn).
· Students
must practice proper personal
habits of hygiene. Personal
grooming while at school is to
be done privately (in the rest
rooms).
· Uniform
dress requirements may have
minor differences between the
secondary and elementary grades.
· LMCA
logo athletic and outer wear is
available for purchase through
the athletic department.
· Students
may not change into non-LMCA
attire during school hours;
students may change into
appropriate dress as listed
under the standard of conduct
after school hours. Directors
will determine exceptions.
· Spirit
days occur during the year and
give students a variety of dress
code options. (see school
calendar)
· When
students represent LMCA in an
official capacity, uniform or
other dress will be specified.
· This
code applies to all
year-end activities which is
strictly enforced! Students who
are inappropriately dressed may
be turned away from events.
In the event the dress code is
silent on an article of
clothing, manner of dress, or
anything pertaining to
appearance, the final judgment
will rest with the Director.
Students who do not conform to
the dress code or debate the
decisions of the staff will meet
with disciplinary consequences.
Uniforms may ONLY be purchased
from a uniform store or the
uniform department of a store.
If purchasing DICKIES, it must
be the school uniform line.
